A grenade that releases a thick cloud of obscuring smoke.
— In-game Description

The Smoke Grenade is a gadget featured in Rogue Company. It releases a dense cloud of gray smoke that blocks enemy fields of vision and works as a tactical tool.

It is available and accessible to Ronin and Saint.

Tactics[]

The Smoke Grenade is a versatile tactical gadget and fitting to different loadouts. It can be used to confuse enemies by blocking their vision during an opposing push, or even when they are far away using weapons such as DMRs and Sniper Rifles. Even though it is set to be used by throwing it at enemies, it can work when thrown at yourself, especially when you want to quickly hide to gain some health back, or at teammates, to revive them without being stopped by the enemies. It is generally a pretty useful grenade and easy to gain advantage with.

Trivia[]

  • The Smoke Grenade is easily one of the most versatile tools in the game. It is not a coincidence for it to be part of six different loadouts.
  • The Smoke Grenade, along with the Pop Smoke Grenade, the EMP Grenade and the Tear Gas Grenade, are the only gadgets in the game containing "Grenade" on their name that do not cause any type of damage.
  • The Smoke Grenade has an upgraded version, the Cluster Smoke, created especially to be paired with The Fixer's ability. Therefore, it doesn't look like it is going to be part of other Rogues' loadout.
    • The Smoke Grenade also has an alternative version that releases the smoke more quickly, but lasts shorter. It is the Pop Smoke Grenade.
  • Phantom's Nano Smoke ability behaves very similarly to the Smoke Grenade, with the only plus of revealing enemies that get inside of it.
  • The Smoke Grenade used to be featured in Dima's loadout until the Gl1tch in the System Update, which gave him the EMP Grenade instead.
  • The Smoke Grenade used to be able to slow enemy movement speed when upgraded to Tier 1. This was changed with the Seeker Game Update, which reduced this Tier's cost to $3000 and removed this ability as a result.
