Rogue Company is a free-to-play tactical shooter being developed by First Watch Games and published by Hi-Rez Studios. It currently runs on Unreal Engine 4.
The game entered the "Closed Beta" phase on July 20, 2020 and was officially released on September of the same year. On July 20th, 2021, Rogue Company was released on Steam.[1]
Setting[]
Rogue Company is a top-secret syndicate of elite mercenaries around the globe. To most of the world, the elusive mercenaries are a rumor at best. However, to those in the know, Rogue Company operatives are indispensable to solving the world's deadliest and most challenging problems. Rogue Company contends with nefarious people and organizations, including the infamous JACKAL. This takes place in the year 2028.
Gameplay[]
The game features game modes based on objectives or eliminations, taking place on different maps. Most matches consist of multiple rounds, each one beginning with both teams preparing themselves and skydiving from the Chimera to the map to duel against each other. Between rounds or deaths, players may use in-game currency earned from simple actions, such as downing players, to buy and upgrade equipment and perks.
Upon sustaining enough damage, players enter a "Down But Not Out" state and are given a small window to be revived by teammates. As such, this system promotes teamwork and communication to ensure successful completion of matches.
Rogues[]
Rogues are the playable characters available in Rogue Company. There are currently 24 of them available, each having their own unique features and requiring different playstyles. Rogues have exclusive loadouts that feature different types of equipment, which includes gadgets, primary and melee weapons. Rogues can be further customized through their appearance with unique outfits, wingsuits and weapon wraps.

Game Modes[]
Rogue Company features multiple game modes, based on objectives or eliminations. They are split into different playlists, being them limited-time, casual, competitive and training.

Rogue Company currently has 15 known maps available to core game modes, excluding 2v2-exclusive or training ones.
