“ | A grenade that explodes after a short fuse and can be cooked.
— In-Game Description
|
The Grenade is a gadget featured in Rogue Company. It explodes after a short fuse, causing damage to any enemies inside its radius. It can be cooked by holding it on your hand for an even shorter fuse.
It is available and accessible to Dahlia, Dima, Mack, Phantom and Ronin.
Strategy[]
The Grenade is an offensive gadget and useful for different strategies. It is able to down any enemies within its radius, especially after its increase on damage in Tier 2. Although mostly used for agressive approaches, another use for this fragmentation grenade is as a backup tool for when an enemy keeps themselves tucked away behind cover or a wall, forcing them to get away of it or to face their death.
Trivia[]
- Cooking the Grenade for a short time before throwing it is a highly recommended strategy, since it will require a faster reaction time from the enemies, therefore granting you a higher success rate.
- However, when doing it, be careful so you don't explode it on yourself. Due to its moderate radius, it is also able to down any teammates close to you in case this happens.
- Even though it is one of the most lethal gadgets in-game, rogues with the Tenacity perk can survive the Grenade. In this case, it is important to stay close to them so you can finish them off.
- The Grenade works well when thrown at large groups of enemies. Combining it with the ability of being cooked for a few seconds, there won't be much they can do to get out of it.
- The Grenade has an alternative version, the Bounce Grenade, which has a shorter fuse that starts when it bounces off a surface.
- Dima's MIRV Launcher grenades behaves similarly to the Grenade, but they have different physics, radius and cause less damage since they are shot in groups of three.
- Even though Trench's Barbed Wire cointains "Grenade" on its name, it has no relation to the Grenade itself.
