Rogue Company Wiki

They'll never see me coming.
— Glimpse

Glimpse is a Rogue featured in Rogue Company.

Biography

Glimpse is a genetically modified agent designed to be the perfect assassin, but deemed a failure to Furmi.62 due to her empathy and compassion. Slated for decommission, she used stolen cloaking technology to escape and joined Rogue Company, where she uses her stealth and tech skills to help her team while seeking justice for herself and others.
— In-game Bio

As a child, Glimpse was forced into a secret genetic modification program. She eventually escaped the facility that held her captive with the help of stolen cloaking technology. Scarred by her childhood trauma, she vowed to stop those responsible for creating her and has been hunting ever since.
— Previous in-game Bio

Glimpse, a victim of illegal genetic modification, has a formal and solemn attitude towards the team, speaking like an AI due to her possible lack of socialization during childhood. Despite her perceived lack of personality, she keeps her traumatic past to herself and hunts those responsible on her own, letting her admirable determination shine through.

Arsenal

Weapons

Render Nightshade

"The Nightshade is a cutting edge, silenced assault rifle."

Glimpse is equipped with an assault rifle and a submachine gun. The Nightshade is the fastest firing assault rifle, with the second best handling, and its magazine size can go from 25 to 35 if upgraded. However, it has the 2nd lowest damage per hit and also the shortest range, which makes it important to be upgraded.

Knight Render

"Alfa Proyekt's lightweight SMG, known for its high lethality when aimed at center mass."

The Knight is the most damaging SMG with the 4th furthest range and the 2nd best handling, but has the slowest fire rate and the second slowest reload time. However, its fire rate can be upgraded at Tier 1, being the only weapon able to do that.

The P12K is tied in second with the Executioner and the A3 Salvo for having the longest range, has the third best handling and has the fastest reload time of any pistol at base tier. It especially fits Glimpse's arsenal because of its integral supressor, since her primary job is to sneak past enemies.

Abilities

Glimpse tier 1 invis

1st stage, occurring when standing still or walking while crouched.

Glimpse tier 2 invis

2nd stage, occurring while walking.

Glimpse tier 3 invis

3rd stage, occurring while running.

Glimpse can use her camouflage to cloak herself, turning mostly translucent and harder to notice. Unlike other Rogues, her ability has no cooldown, but instead an "energy meter" that recharges passively when you're not using it. While using it, the camouflage's energy runs out (automatically de-cloaking her if it expires), and Glimpse cannot shoot or use gadgets, only being able to use ziplines, open doors and revive teammates. Since this doesn't last very long, it should be primarily used to get in an advantage position, shoot, and cloak up again to recover. Glimpse's invisibility has three levels, indicated by hexagons on the screen and her appearance. Glimpse's passive ability, "Sleighty", alerts her to nearby enemies through yellow arrows that show up on her HUD, indicating enemies' directions. This can be used in several different ways, being extremely useful while cloaked, when you lose sight of an enemy or someone is hiding behind a cover. However, be aware that this type of "reveal" can only be seen by her, and not by her team.

Gadgets

Glimpse carries a Semtex Grenade and a Pop Smoke Grenade. The Semtex is an ideal gadget for her arsenal since it has a quick explosion time, pairing well with her sneak attacks and the close to medium distance she usually keeps from the enemies. The Pop Smoke Grenade has some similar advantages, such as its detonation on impact, effective for quick getaways.

Significant Perks

Glimpse's key perks are Tracker Rounds, Life Drain and Padded Steps. Tracker Rounds strengthens Glimpse's Intel role, giving her an ability to reveal enemies to her team. Life Drain can reward players with notable amounts of downs and increase Glimpse's survivability chances and successful engagements by herself. Padded Steps is definitely a key perk for her loadout, since she'll be able to walk while invisible and avoid alerting enemies of her presence, especially because of her sneak attacks.

Notable Strengths

Glimpse offers a huge amount of versatility primarily due to her ability. She can easily get away of ambushes and take advantage from her cloak, but also get past enemies lines and make sneak attacks. This also shows how self-reliant she can be, performing above average on her own even when outnumbered.

Notable Weaknesses

Although Glimpse's camouflage seems very strong, there are a lot of ways to stop her; Gl1tch can de-cloak her with his ability; The Fixer can see her even when invisible while using his thermal vision; plus she is vulnerable to any type of reveals, EMP Grenades and traps such as Vy's poison and Trench's barbed wire.

Strategy

Glimpse's ability of quickly getting in and out of an invisibility cloak already puts her ahead of other Rogues. She has a great potential to deal devastating amounts of damage while being stealthy, fitting very well the "silent but deadly" title. Even when she seems out of options, Glimpse can still surprise her victims by recovering to her ability, able to get her out of trouble quickly and easily.

Since her ability is very unique, here are some useful interactions information not mentioned before:

  • While reviving a teammate, Glimpse cannot manually get in or out of her cloak, unless it automatically expires.
  • Even when invisible, Glimpse will appear a lot more visible to her teammates.
  • Glimpse automatically de-cloaks when attempting to fire.
  • Glimpse has a delay of about a second when getting out of her cloak before she can shoot or use gadgets.
  • Nearly 15% of the energy bar is necessary to be charged to use her cloak.

Trivia

  • Glimpse and Phantom were both part of genetic experiments. Phantom was trained from birth to be an assassin, while Glimpse was forced into a genetic modification program as a child. However, there is no evidence linking them to the same organization.
