A grenade that temporarily blinds anyone within its blast radius.
— In-game Description

The Flashbang is a gadget featured in Rogue Company. It blinds any enemy within its radius by turning their screen completely white and can be used as a backup tool.

It is available and accessible to Chaac, Gl1tch, Switchblade and Talon.

Strategy[]

The Flashbang is a tricky gadget with different possible tactics. It can be used similarly to a smoke by blocking the enemy's vision and confusing them for a short period of time, whether it is during an attack or a defense, or even as the necessary tool to help you turn the outcome of an encounter. When making an offensive push, you can throw it on the enemies first and then take advantage from its effects by simply shooting at them or combining it with a lethal gadget or ability, since they won't be able to predict what is happening.

Trivia[]

  • The Flashbang can be a great alternative to the Smoke Grenade, having a stronger and more guaranteed effect but requiring an above-average precision and lasting shorter.
  • Mack's Lightbomb ability behaves pretty much like the Flashbang, only having a very larger radius and working as a device that charges up. However, he does not have it in his loadout.
  • Be careful when throwing the Flashbang, since it can blind yourself as well as your teammates and might give the enemies a great advantage.
  • Enemies affected by the Flashbang are marked with a bright hitmarker above their heads, which disappears when the effect is over.
